Interview with the Author

Richer Resources: When did you first realize you were talented as an artist?

Ira Crowe: When I was 11 or 12 years old I discovered an aptitude for drawing and within a few years fell in love with pen and ink.

Richer Resources: What inspires you to draw, paint or create a sculpture?

Ira Crowe: This phenomenal universe that we dwell in.

Richer Resources: Do you think anyone can be an artist?

Ira Crowe: Absolutely!

Richer Resources: Do you have a favorite artist? Any who have influenced you in your work?

Ira Crowe: Dali, Escher, 19th century engravings, come to think of it, artists who push the boundaries and show concepts in a new way.

Richer Resources: What advice do you have for budding artists just starting out?

Ira Crowe: Find a medium that intrigues you and dive in, savor the accidents and turn them into something that surprises.

Richer Resources: What other interests do you have outside of being an artist?

Ira Crowe: Making things.

Richer Resources: Thank you for taking the time to grant this interview.

Ira Crowe: The pleasure is mine
